About Alexa Ortiz & Laura Wagner

Laura Wagner is a public health research analyst in the Center for Communication Science at RTI International, an independent, nonprofit research institute. Her background is in cognitive science, virtual reality, and social and behavioral research. She is co-leading the development of an immersive technologies program at RTI to use virtual reality in addressing health and social issues. Before joining RTI, Laura was manager of the Immersive Virtual Environment Testing Area at the National Human Genome Research Institute. She holds an MPH in Health Behavior from the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health.
