About Cynthia Miller

Cynthia brings over 15 years of experience in health care. Cynthia started her career in academia at Drexel University College of Medicine in 2006. She then became a Palliative Care faculty member at Abington Memorial Hospital. After a period, she transitioned to a private primary care group in Florida. While in practice she developed a referral program for physicians to the Diabetes Prevention Program through the Suncoast YMCA for BayCare Health System, located in Tampa Bay. Cynthia most recently practiced telemedicine to support COVID-19 pandemic access to care. In 2017, Cynthia joined WellCare Health Plans (later Centene) as the Senior Medical Director of Pharmacy. She oversaw utilization management, the Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee, Drug Utilization Review Committee and Quality Committee. She was promoted to Vice President Medical Director and managed a team of medical directors in pharmacy utilization management. She collaborated with the population health team to develop strategies around diabetes and heart disease. Cynthia currently works as Vice President Medical Director for the Access Experience Team at Precision Value & Health. In 1995, Cynthia received a BA from Wellesley College in Chemistry. She obtained a Medical Degree from NYU in 2002 and completed a residency at NYU/Bellevue in Internal Medicine in 2006. In 2019, she completed an MPH from the University of Florida.
